Compaction works again.
Old messages on pop server are marked unread. (But something weird is going on there).
Index files should be more robust but I have made a non backwards compatible change to the file format.
Hmm is that all, well the index file problem was bloody hard to reproduce. Blaa blaa

Fully functional robust pop3 account, supports ultra smooth downloading of messages in the background, as well as efficiently leaving mail on server using message UIDs (just make sure you have dcopserver and kded running).

At last I can once again walk among the living and resume a somewhat normal life. (Okay maybe it wasn't that bad but I'm pretty happy it's working)

pop account type won't work until I check in an updated pop3 kioslave
(which won't be for a few more days at least). But everything should still
compile and run fine(ish) anyway.
