I couldn't resolve one kicker conflict that results from different
development directions, so I rely on Aaron to sort it out - the file
is commited with conflicts

plugin to check what the core supports, i.e. the opposite of supports().
Not used yet, but apparently will be needed e.g. for the new tranparency.
